About

John has been a psychologist and clinical psychologist for about 30 years across in various settings throughout his career, both public and private. Most of his experience has been within the Mental Health Service, but he has been fortunate to work in private practice as well.

John has worked with people across the lifespan, from children, young people and families, to adults and older people. He has experience and expertise in offering treatment for people who present with a range of difficulties.

​

John lives and works in a regional area, and is passionate about providing quality mental health services for people outside the major metropolitan centres.


John is skilled in a number of therapeutic modalities including CBT, ACT, DBT, Schema Therapy, Narrative Therapy,  and EMDR. He brings a trauma-informed, client-focused approach to his work, where he prefers to collaborative with his clients to help them achieve their therapy goals.
